 I would love to create a special piece just for you! Creating a customised commission artwork for someone to love and cherish for generations to come is a truly special experience. When you commission an Alexis Steyn piece, you are not only purchasing an artwork that reflects your personality, but also investing in a piece that will set the mood and tone of your home for many years to come.

For my oil painting commissions, I base my fee on two factors. The first factor is the size of the canvas and the second factor is the materials that are used (oil paint, gold leaf, acrylics, alcohol inks, markers, pastels etc.). For an accurate and comprehensive quote, I provide a free consultation meeting with each client before commencing a painting to better understand the scope of work involved and the vision you may have for your painting.

MY PROCESS

1. I first start the process by having a free consultation with you either in person or via zoom to discuss your vision for your personalised artwork. This includes the colour palette, size, subject matter, materials and other themes that you may want to include.

2. From there I will send you a quote based on what we have discussed. I also require a 50% non-refundable deposit before creating your artwork.

3. Before starting the artwork, I like to create a digital mockup to give you an idea of how the final artwork will look. This gives us the opportunity to make minor adjustments to the composition and add/remove elements before jumping into creating the final painting. Once the mockup has been approved I can then start painting!

4. Progress images can be seen on my Instagram stories. You will receive a final progress photo towards the end of the process for any last adjustments that you may require. Once complete, you will have a beautiful artwork to add to your home, office or interior space that you can cherish for years to come!
